Every TDL Master add-on is licensed against a single Tally serial number. This page explains how that binding is created, how activation works and what happens when your Tally licence changes.
How the licence is created
- 1You enter your Tally serial number at checkout.
- 2On payment confirmation, a licence record is created for that serial number.
- 3The add-on build you download carries that binding.
- 4When Tally loads the file, the add-on compares the running serial number with the licensed one.
Activation
There is no separate activation key to type in for most products. Loading the file inside the licensed Tally is the activation step.
Where a product does require an activation code, the code is shown on your order page and e-mailed to you together with the download link.
Additional licences
- One licence covers one Tally serial number, including all users on a Gold multi-user licence
- Additional branches or companies with their own Tally serial numbers need their own licence
- Additional licences for the same product are purchased from the product page like any other order
- Bulk or partner pricing is available for multiple licences — contact us before ordering
Transfers and serial number changes
- Licences are not transferable to a different customer or organisation
- If your Tally serial number changes because of a Tally licence upgrade, surrender or reissue, contact support with the old and new serial numbers and we will re-issue the add-on at no cost
- Resale, redistribution or sharing of the add-on file is not permitted
- Decompiling or modifying a compiled add-on ends the licence
Frequently asked questions
How long does the licence last?
The usage licence is perpetual for the Tally serial number it was issued to. Update eligibility is covered separately on the updates policy page.
I entered the wrong serial number at checkout. What now?
Contact support with your order number and the correct serial number. We re-issue the build against the correct number.
Can I move the licence to a new computer?
Yes, as long as the Tally serial number stays the same. Copy the file to the new machine and load it in Tally.
